How we began

Marvelous Women began with a simple dinner among friends.

In 2017, following a breakup and the deep loss of a dear friend the year before, I found myself feeling untethered — stuck in a rut, uninspired, and craving something more that I couldn’t quite name.
A close friend and coworker suggested we spend an evening together setting goals over dinner with two other colleagues. Surprised to finally feel anything more than a shred of motivation, I enthusiastically created us a worksheet to help guide our evening conversation.
What made that night so special wasn’t the worksheet or even the goals we wrote down. It was the raw authentic and intimate conversation. Sitting around the table, we shared honestly about where we were, what we hoped for, what we feared, and where we felt stuck. Listening to each other share bought this sense of unity and, even though, each of us had very different circumstances, it was somehow incredibly relatable and reassuring. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly seen and heard and most importantly, inspired.

That evening planted a seed. What unfolded the next few months over conversations with many friends was an almost universal desire for a space to reflect, connect, and learn. As I began hosting gatherings in my home, more and more friends became curious. Each gathering reminded me of the power of slowing down and sharing life together. What started as a small circle has now grown into a community rooted in presence, courage, and care.

Marvelous Women exists to offer exactly that kind of space to women — a pause in our busy lives to reflect, reconnect, and remember who we are.
